WoW: Stranglethorn Valley And Booty Bay in Unreal Engine 4

For a long time Booty Bay was considered the green jewel of World of Warcraft. With Cataclysm, a huge tsunami destroyed the pirate town, which lies deep in the south of Stranglethorn. But the memory of the idyllic bay lives on in the hearts of many players and fans of WoW.

3D artists Dronmo and KickHimSareth are recreating Stranglethorn Valley and Booty Bay in Unreal Engine 4. Far south of the World of Warcraft Stranglethorn Valley is the sunny harbor of Booty Bay. For the first time, Booty Bay was mentioned in Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos as a landing place and refuge for all kinds of dangerous pirates and enterprising buccaneers.

Booty Bay was one of the most popular hangouts in Vanilla WoW because both the heroes of the Horde and the Alliance were welcome there. Under the watchful eye of Baron Revilgaz, Lord of Booty Bay, all visitors to the port were allowed to trade across factions and hunt and fish to their hearts’ content.

Of course only on the condition that they don’t support the Bloodsail Buccaneers, the eternal enemies of Booty Bay pirates. Although Booty Bay no longer plays a major role in retail WoW and is rarely visited, the memory of the dangerous jungle adventures in WoW lives on in many players’ hearts.

For example, 3D artists Dronmo and KickHimSareth (via Reddit) created the first version of the jungle of Stranglethorn and the harbor of Booty Bay in Unreal Engine 4.
